What Are My Responsibilities?
Our aim is to help you understand your responsibilities and advise you on the best approach to managing the risk of legionella. We can do this by carrying out a legionella risk assessment or, if you already have one, we can advise and implement corrective actions.

Keeping Tanks Safe
Tanks should be kept in a good and clean a condition as not to promote the growth of Legionella.

What Records Do I Need To Keep?
If you have five or more employees you have to record any significant findings, including those identified as being particularly at risk. It should be detailed how you have taken steps to prevent or control risks. If you have less than five employees, you do not need to keep such formal records, although it is advisable to keep a written record of what you have done.

Sampling is the only way to confirm the presence of Legionella in a water system. The frequency and number will be determined by your risk assessment.
